OUR VISION

At Robert Service School, in partnership with Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and our school community, we're committed to 'Connecting Learners and Learning to People and Place'.

We share and live our lives in a unique and 'resource-rich' international community, which has a special place in understanding Canadian and world history because of the Klondike Gold Rush
and the colonization of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in homelands.  Our final agreements include section 17.7 which commits TH and YG as equal partners to share authority and responsibility on all aspects of education and life-long learning on Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Traditional Territory.
We have a highly dedicated and diverse staff  supported by a tremendously engaged community that works with us to provide unparalleled opportunities for place-based learning.  Guided by the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in concepts of Tr’ëhude – living in a good way - and - Hǫzǫ łëkʼä̀trʼë̀nòcha – taking good care of each other - we work collaboratively with our partners and students to provide quality and, as necessary, adjusted and differentiated learning experiences foundational for each student's school and life-long success.
